Abigail Lane
A concept textile artist is someone who builds up artwork from an initial principle, method, material, or practice and redesigns it.
I make things that were once regarded as being ordinary, and out of the way appear new and complex to challenge their originality is always on my agenda.
My ambition is to see things that were in bland, static, state as moving and exciting pictures, to never stop learning new ways of working and thinking, and to change a 2D world of flat textiles into a living world of with 3 dimensional proportions where artwork, interior design and architecture are never separated.
