Rachael Bull

 

I specialise in hand painted and printed textiles, focusing on floral and wildlife imagery. I capture nature through considered and detailed painterly marks using fresh colours in the form of gouache.

Through traditional hand drawn quality, my paintings incorporate and mix subject matter and pattern, creating innovative and contemporary designs which are either bespoke hand drawn paintings or digital patterns. My two collections focus on the English and tropical garden, presenting through narrative; based on the inspiration of my auntie’s garden, the colours, pattern and chaos of imagery within both to form vibrant and exquisite designs.
