Fast Fashion is a growing problem in the UK. Fashion conscious shoppers are constantly updating their wardrobes, leading to a rise in our throwaway culture. Women are most guilty of this, so for my final project at NUA I was inspired to create an up-cycled women’s collection of floral skirts. A skirt for each season of the year will challenge the high street by providing a bespoke, sustainable solution to achieve timeless trends. In total the 4 skirts cost me £6.05 and are all completely up-cycled fabrics, either bought from charity shops or donated to me by family and friends.
